About Me
I'm Estela Anahi Jaramillo. I was born to a working-class family of six in Reedley, California. Growing up, I was introduced to a variety of opportunities revolving around music, athletics and academics. As a young girl, I had a passion for storytelling and writing, which later influenced my decision to pursue a career as a writer/reporter.
I graduated in Fall 2022 from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Chicano studies.
I am currently a graduate student at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication for a master's degree in sports journalism.
I previously worked for over a year with The Business Journal - Fresno where I was published for my stories and photos.
For nearly three years I worked with a local online magazine, The Sanger Scene, where I was published for my stories, photos, and social media videos.
I spent one year as Sports Editor for The Collegian at Fresno State where I was published for my photos, game coverage stories, features and profile pieces. I also have written for other sections such as Arts and Entertainment and News.
